Adjusting screen text with ClearType Text Tuner
0ClearType is a technology used by Windows to make reading text easier. By using a technology called anti-aliasing, ClearType can present text on-screen in a much easier-to-read fashion than without it. ClearType is enabled by default and works great for all Windows users alike. Using ClearType Text Tuner, you can tune ClearType to fit your needs in a few simple steps.
To launch the ClearType Text Tuner, open the Start menu and search for “ClearType”. Choose “Adjust ClearType Text” under the “Control Panel” category.
The ClearType Text Tuner will now launch. From here, you can turn on and off ClearType or run through a small series of questions to optimize it for your needs.
By choosing which sample of text looks best, Windows can then determine the best way for text to be displayed on-screen. It’s a fairly simple process and only takes a few minutes. When you’re done, exit the ClearType Text Tuner and all the text on screen should adjust to your needs.
