Let’s have a giveaway: The Humble Indie Bundle
14What’s that? A giveaway? For free? Yup. The Humble Indie Bundle is a collection of five, yes five great indie games – including World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD, Penumbra Overture, and Samorost 2.
Organized and set up by Wolfire Games, it was sold as a pay-what-you-want package (I paid a good sum), and all the profits would be split up between two charities – Child’s Play, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation – or have the money be given to the game developers (indie games = games made by one person, or small group of people, not some giant megacorporation). Unfortunately, the deal has ended – but I happen to have an extra copy on hand that I’m going to give away.
The Humble Indie Bundle includes the Windows, Mac, and Linux version of each game. You can download each game as many times as you want, and the games are DRM-free. Your download page/key is permanent and can be accessed at any time.
Want to have a chance of getting the gift of the Humble Indie Bundle? There are two ways to enter:
- Leave a comment below with your name and email in the comment field (one entry)
- Join the Netbook Network Forums, have five posts, and post in this thread (one entry)
All games work on a netbook, and the estimated total retail value is around $80.
The raffle ends on October 15, 2010. Good luck, everyone!
EDIT: Since it is DRM free, I’d like to just point out that the copy has indeed not been redeemed:
EDIT: The winners have been announced. This giveaway is now over.

Tip: Leave something more than just your name and email, and you might, just might have a higher chance of winning!

My story regarding this pack:
I saw this a good while back and completely missed out due to not having a pc good enough to run them. With the purchase of my netbook and (parents) desktop I can now use them but unfortunately the deal is over. I would love to have this. I’m a senior in high school and have been having a crappy year so… cheer me up! Haha

Thought I’d give this a try, as I got money deposited on my PayPal account only a couple of days after the deal had ended. -_-
I didn’t know there were Linux versions of those games, so this piques my interest even more
My, my, my. This does seem like a very good deal. Are any of the games planning to go open source, though? Sounds fun, in any case.

It’s D6k here going in with the second entry
I’d rather you get my email from my forum account if that’s ok
Sure thing.
I herd you liek mudkipz.
No offense, but I still like your older theme better. :/ Something is lacking in this new theme.
Sorry pal.
Wrong post, but:
The reason I like this theme is because it feels a bit more like a website than a blog. The previous theme had some sort of effect where people wouldn’t want to explore my other posts, but I think this one fixes it.
There’s more features and stuff to come.
Sorry, I didn’t realize that you had a “New Theme” post.
Is this offer still stands ?
TQ
Sorry, but the giveaway is now over.
