More Blog Updates!
2A few more blog updates have been rolling out over the week:
- New spam protection, provided by Akismet. If your comment seems to disappear after you leave it, chances are Akismet caught it. However, the chance of this happening is less than 0.1 percent according to statistics by other bloggers.
- New image viewing effects. Now, when you click on an image that’s a thumbnail, you’ll be dazzled with the power of the newly installed plugin Lightbox 2.
- Fixed an issue where typing in the comments box would cause text to be italics and grey. I had to get rid of Comment Autogrow, but it didn’t work very well anyway.
- Also, don’t forget to check out the “AddThis” button under every post.
- You can now get banned from viewing the website entirely – only for people with bad behavior though.
…but couldn’t they just use proxy to view this site then? …what kind of bad people you had in the past? Spammers?
Well, I used to manually ban spammers via IP, but then I got Akismet, which automatically filters out spam. The ban system is just in case some guy decides to post bad links to everywhere or something and constantly comes back.
