Windows Live Essentials 2011 is here!

Windows Live Essentials 2011, a package of various desktop applications, has finally been released. It not only contains updates to older applications, but includes a few more applications such as Live Mesh for file syncing.

Updates include many improved features and an office-style ribbon interface to many of WLE’s applications. With this version of Windows Live Essentials, support for Windows XP has been dropped. However, users of Windows Vista can still use this edition of WLE.

A newcomer to the Windows Live Essentials series is Windows Live Sync – by hooking it up to your Windows Live Skydrive, you can how have synchronization of your files between multiple PC’s. Windows Live Sync also offers remote access between computers.
