Meego Netbook

Jolicloud has had its Jolibook, which is a netbook that comes with Jolicloud, for a while. MeeGo is getting the same treatment by Fujitsu, a special version of their LifeBook MH330 netbook. Preloaded with MeeGo instead of Windows 7, it’s thinner than its original at 18.5 mm thick. Although MeeGo has been available to be installed on all netbooks, the MH330 has a custom version of MeeGo designed to work well with the hardware. Owners of the original MH330 will be able to install MeeGo anytime from the internet, but some of their hotkeys such as brightness adjust will not work. Specs and more details after the break.

Priced at around $380 USD, the netbook won’t have any real standout specs – it’s going to sport a standard Intel Atom N455 processor clocked at 1.66 Ghz, 1GB of RAM, 250GB of hard drive space and a 10.1 inch 1024×600 screen. You might be better off buying a netbook and installing MeeGo on your own to see if you like it, but Meego has proven itself to be a solid OS amongst netbook-based operating systems.

Fujitsu hasn’t released much information about the netbook’s release.
