Turntable!

Music services in the cloud have been growing quite a lot in the past year: Pandora has gotten a long-needed HTML5 overhaul, Google and Amazon are releasing music-hosting services, and even Apple has been trying their hand at a cloud-based music service. Ubuntu, on the CR-48!

Chrome OS: Let's get started

You’re walking on a street, when suddenly, your laptop falls out of your bag (oh no!). You don’t notice until you’ve crossed, but a car has already run over your notebook. In just a blink of an eye, there’s all your precious data; gone. What if there was a way that you could be sure of your files being safe without backing up to an external hard drive or using a backup service? If you were using Google’s new Chrome OS, you’d be on cloud nine if this happened because all your data would be safe in the cloud. In fact, you could pick up another Chrome notebook and keep going where you left off. This is just one of the great features of Chrome OS – designed to be simple, fast, and secure. But is Chrome OS really as great as it sounds? Read on after the break for a full review.
