All authors have been credited in the installer readme and is viewed before installing.

What is the TF2 Ultimate FPS Pack?
It's for the unfortunate with really old computers, and I mean seriously old computers. Ones with integrated graphics cards, and/or old dedicated graphics cards.

What are the results?
I've been testing achievement_idle because it's the most simple map available. I can get around 40-60 FPS with each class.

Works great! There's a definite FPS boost... The FPS boost is about 30 FPS, by the way. Forgot to mention that. Went from 30 to 60.

Results:
5-15 fps with no other windows open before this
With internet explorer(3 tabs) open, 20-60 FPS
I love you forever. Although the N64-ish graphics look horrendous, I kinda like it.

It's great! Now i can play!

My Main PC Died. Which meant I had to fall back to my...'Craptop' , lets call it that. It's an Acer 5515, it will gag on TF2, even on all Low settings set via options.

This FPS pack was a /lifesaver/. I'm able to enjoy TF2 again!

Where do the test results come from?
My netbook, which has a 1.6ghz processor and an Intel GMA 945 Integrated Chip with 2gb of ram. I have not overclocked and I was running multiple programs at once (which I should have exited, but forgot to)

How do I install the TF2 Ultimate FPS Pack?
The pack is packaged in an installer for easy installation.

Help! I only get 5fps!
It tends to happen on larger maps. This installer package is just about as far as you can go for optimization, so if you can't get ANY fps out of it, the most I can say is "Get a new computer"

It's not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's cause of the server settings. Find a server without sv_pure on.

I want to uninstall!
In the control panel, you can select to uninstall the TF2 Ultimate FPS Pack.
Alternatively, you can go to the installation directory and there will be an uninstaller.

NOTE: If your anti virus claims there is a trojan, there isn't. I have no idea why av scans are showing trojans. I'm using Avast! which has a high scan rate, detects nothing. Kaspersky also detects nothing.

Works great! There's a definite FPS boost. Although, I want to enable the healing beam for Medic. Any chance you could tell me how to do that? Thanks.

Healing beam, you say?
Go to your Team fortress 2/tf/particles folder
and delete these two:

medicgun_beam.pcf
medicgun_beam_dx80.pcf

Should do the trick.

No problem.

It's the same process for the rockettrails, blood particles, etc. Delete the corresponding files.
Uninstall and reinstall the pack if you want them back again.

Hiya, me again, but I've got a problem. Sometimes, my models will bug out and look like this:

What can I do?

It's a dumb thing where when you join a server with sv_pure 1/2 on, the models can't redraw and you're left with wireframes.

Try resetting the HUD by entering this in the console.

record fix
stop

which should reset your hud. This is for fixes such as wrong colors, etc.

If you can't get the models to redraw, you gotta restart the game or don't join pure servers.
Unfortunately, there's nothing I can change about it :-/
